It's been a little while since I've researched this, but I am 95% sure they don't take barends. Most alloy bars (other than drop/moustache) have an ID too small for barends. The steel Wald northroad style bars - 8095 - will fit barends, according to my memory and a post here. Some of the alloy bars by Nitto and Soma are designed to fit barends. As for road brake levers, I believe you would need to use a shim on any of these.
