Weighed at 32.2 lb for mine (hanging scale). Early 80s steel road race bike, about 21 lb naked. The extra 11 lb is PDW Full Metal Fenders, small Carradice bag with Bagman support, U-lock (which is probably 5 lbs by itself) and a few odds and ends in the bag, water bottle, Silca frame pump, Niterider headlight w/ battery, computer, a few blinkies and a bell. I'm surprised it doesn't weigh more; I might re-check that tomorrow.

(Edit: re-weighed and that is correct. Plus the backpack with the stuff I usually carry, and all clothes incl rain gear, helmet, cap, everything but underwear and shoes is another 11.7 lb.)

I can move along pretty well on this bike but the extra weight definitely is a drag. My weekend bike weighs about 18 lb with spare tubular and CO2. It accelerates so much faster and climbs the same hills in a gear two cogs smaller.

Tom, I'm sort of staggered that your bike weighs so much. The base or naked bike must be 25 lbs, and it doesn't look like 23 lb of stuff hanging on it?
