After taking the pics I took her out for a 10 mile ride today. First time I have rode it for real since I bought the heap over two years ago. It was warm for February and sunny, but A LOT of wind.

Have it set up as SS right now since my Wabi is set up FG. I was surprised how well it rode. Even with the gas pipe frame (Italian gas pipe, but gas pipe nevertheless), old components, entry level Sun/Formula wheel set & all the heavy Brooks leather stuff she only weighs in at 23lbs. Pretty good for an early 1970s conversion.

Plus, most of the roads around here in Washington are really rough chip & seal or high gravel content asphalt. When I ride my aluminum Trek my wrist hurt from all the vibrations after 30 min. The Wabi does a nice job of soaking up the noise with it's Reynolds 725 but ... dare I say this was more comfortable? It really soaked up the bumps even with the Paselas pumped to 115 PSI.
