[QUOTE=Jackmen;17629013]This is my new bike i bought. I am turning 56 next month. I'm a little different than some on the 50 + in that I like new modern technology bikes. I'm not into retro or 60's 70's or 80's. Being an engineer, I like the technology of bikes as much as I enjoy riding them. My new one is a 20014 Giant defy advanced 0 with New shimano Di-2 shifting. It really gets up and goes.

I think there are a few engineers on the 50+, and being one of them I've begun to appreciate the best of both new technology and old craftsmanship. (Not to say there isn't new craftsmanship.) As in my professional practice, sometimes its nice to admire beautiful simplicity.
