I weigh 135kg and have had 2 bike shops try to sell me on a carbon fiber road bike. They rode nice, really liked the 2013 Felt z3 I tested, but decided not to go after those. Figured the LBS was just trying to offload old inventory.
I've always been told that 250lbs or 112kg is a realistic maximum weight on road bikes with the thinner wheels like 700cx25 or less.
This Merida can handle a lot more than this. Looks like a nice bike!
