I had a 2016 1.2c for some time and logged approximately 400 trouble free miles. The only thing I did was replace the factory tires with GP4000S II's. Other than that, it was an excellent ride and relatively lightweight. I just recently sold it for a 2016 Emonda SL6 because I got a killer deal on a new one.
No experience with the Specialized though - sorry. With the 1.2 I don't think you could go wrong.
