You're surprised because you are ignoring the obvious (and continuing to believe that your bike actually weighs 16 lbs., which it does not). One of the reasons canyoneagle's bike is so light is that he is using a light groupset. Chorus is lighter than Ultegra R8000 by over 200 grams (
