I took a roll of 1/2" 3M Scotchlite Retroreflective tape, and punched out dots with an EK Tools 3/8" circle punch. Four on the valve side of the rim, 8 on the opposite side, both sides of the wheel. They are extremely bright when hit with a flashlight or headlight, but invisible during the day.
