MLK is north of the Capitol. The MS150 finished on the south side, didn't it? Or am I all turned around? I only got to do the downtown Austin finish a couple of times, so I may not have understood where we were riding.
COTA was laid out better this year. Getting from the finish line to the showers to the tents to the buses didn't involve as much walking. But it's still an ugly place to finish.
You are a bit turned around. The MS150 finish line was on the North side of the Capitol.
You were at the very end of a two day, 150+ mile ride. Depending on the year, you were soaked with rain, or soaked with sweat from the heat, or had battled gale force headwinds all day. You were bound to be just a bit disoriented coming in to the finish.....
