I can't picture running, sirens notwithstanding. Though, to be honest, I barely even cringe when I hear a siren now.
Running is something one does to get away from a mugger with a knife. Swimming is something one does to keep from drowning.
Cycling, however, is the beautiful merging of man and machine.
