Was thinking the same re DNA - if I had a UV lamp handy I could ascertain.
Oh well, positive it's unused and knowing it had to have been in there for 20-30+ years based on the bike, cloth tape and bar condition, my thought now is that maybe I should just put it back in before I tape the bars. Continues the 'tradition' and will provide grins for me knowing it's there (I'm easily amused) and also a head scratcher for the next poor shmo who finds it.
I will post a pic of the bike when I get it finished of course.
