Many people have wondered why it is that Italy is getting hit so hard. Several possible reasons come up:
  • Do they smoke more?
  • An older population?
  • Older people that go to mass every day?
This morning I saw another reason being discussed.

On Feb 19th, there was a soccer match between Atalanta(Bergamo) and Valencia(Spain), played in Milan, with 40,000 fans traveling from Bergamo to Milan for the match (and many who didn't travel would have watched it from crowded bars/restaurants back home).

I am wondering what things would look like over here if March Sadness had not been cancelled.
