Hard to tell without pics, but in the forum tradition of answering a question that wasn't asked, 112 psi seems awfully high for a 28mm tire and a rider weight of 215 lb. I wonder if you dropped the pressure a bit, thereby achieving a wider contact patch, would wear be less concentrated on the centerline of the tire?
