Following up with the fix if anyone else has this problem.
No matter what I did it would say "Bluetooth LE connection was interrupted. Try connecting again" with the e-tube app.
I went into my phone Bluetooth setting and deleted the EWWU111 from the list. Retried e-tube and it connected!
must've had dirty packets or couldn't renew the password once it was reset.
