Poop. I might have to do something similar for a freewheel that has stripped prong indents. Ugh...

I was able to remove the carcass with no damage to the wheel, in case I decide to use it again. For a bike that was not visually badly rusted, it was amazing how bad the individually components looked; front skewer rusted shut, chain rusted solid, crunchy bearings, etc. Good thing he only wants the frameset 'cause he'd be disappointed in the rest of the parts.
