I saw an egret this morning, pretty close. He was hunting frogs on the meadow above China Wall. I had already passed him and was moving away when he took off. I don't think I scared him. I came home early on the most direct route. My wife tested covid positive and I had to take the (negative) kinders to school and then go test the 3rd grader. I first called the school - Yes, you need to test him. He can stay if he's negative. We have tests here. No, we can't give him the test, you have to. @#$%ing government!
