We lucked out with the Nor'easter here on the coast. We had about 3 inches of rain and a half-inch of snow. But places in central Mass (maybe 50 miles west of here) got 30 inches of snow.
Did my first ride with dedicated cycling shoes today. Had always used sneakers/running shoes with fairly soft soles that get ripped up by the pins. Bought a pair if these Five Ten Freerider shoes on Amazon (
Five Ten Freeriders ). Seem to be good shoes, we'll see how durable. I wouldn't have paid $80 though, I managed to get them for about $50.
