There are many fellow cyclists who acknowledge me*, either before or after I acknowledge them, but the lycra solo racer and eBiker consistently do not. However, I'm wondering if the solo lycra racers will acknowledge other lycra racers? And maybe, similarly, eBikers acknowledge each other?

I don't think there's anything strange about it. People are riding for different purposes, acknowledging waves is consistent with some purposes and not others.
