The ISG mounted bash guard by itself is not going to do anything to keep you from dropping a chain.
But if it is also a chain guide, then yes, that will help a lot.
FWIW, with a narrow/wide chainring and a clutch rear derailleur, I have never dropped a chain in the 5 years I’ve been running 1x.
