I would always go smaller. I’m 6’2 and that meant getting the 58cm instead of 60 version of my bike funnily enough. Rarely, I clip the bars with my knee when out of the saddle. Which would be solved by your longer stem but wasn’t an option for me, integrated headset/bars. Apart from that, correct decision.
