The 800s were dual-sided SPD pedals that were sold as a cheaper alternative to Ritchey Logics. Came in a bunch of colors if memory serves.
The biggest issue with these was the spring retention system. They don't work as well as other brands when gunked up. Not sure whether that was the hardware, the design, or both.
So a lot depends on what kind of riding you do, and in what conditions. If you regularly ride in bad weather, I'd opt for a different brand. If you're a fair weather rider, shouldn't be a problem.
