Uh, once you've carried a Park stand up the stairs, you do not need to ride -- you've done your exercise for the day! Similarly, I have a basement stand but it's the bench type and I have it bolted down (to vertical pillar mid-workshop); and, I really don't like working down there, unheated and ill lit, I need to spruce up the basement. The Aldi stand started out as something I'd use int he back yard for bike-cleaning duties but, now I use it for most tasks.

For the benefit of the OP and others, I hope Aldi offers the stand soon -- but I suspect it's likely to be part of a springtime bike-oriented sales feature.
