Yeah I'm of that same opinion too.
Manufacturers like Giant will only offer 1 color per model / trim. You buy it or you leave it. Consumers are stuck between choosing the color they want or the specs they want and that's BS, but that's their business model. Other manufacturers like Cervelo will offer 2 color options per model / trim.
The point was that there are often so many spec options today that it isn’t often practical to offer multiple colour choices as well. You might get 2 at the most and you are lucky if both options are actually in stock in the right size.
