- the bike looks good as it sits -- the group looks 9 speed to me, which is a bit late for this frame, but not too much - i think Campagnolo 9 speed with thatstyle brake hood debuted in 1996 - so it would be very probable for a guy with a late 80's vintage frameset (which would have been C-Record , or victory/Triomphe era) to upgrade to the latest and greatest in that time frame

PErsonally i like the looks of the early 90's 8 speed Ergopower groups , ---- but your build looks nice and well sorted
