Can you take a photo of the drive side? Most photos we can find as reference online and in old catalogs are of the drive side so that would make it easier to match.
The more I ponder this the more I believe I acquired the bike in the 1990s rather than 1980s. Here's a drive side look. The cranks, derailleurs, shifters, cassette, forks and brakes were upgraded over the years. It originally came with a 7 speed cassette.
