Friday I travelled to West Virginia to return my Grand daughter to her father. She has been visiting us for two weeks (and we cycled 87 miles in total). I then drove to Paw Paw, WVA to visit the tunnel on the C&O trail.

I decided to walk the bike. As dark and dry as a tomb. Neat, but serious washboarding all along thru the dark. I did not want to find out how strong the hand rail was.
East portal, looking east along the boardwalk. I rode my 1995 Trek 850 with drop bars. Frankly, I much prefer the GAP trail but I did see another bit of the C&O this trip.
