Flandria's are Belgian. And for a base line 70's bike, they were actually quite good. I sold and worked on them in a small hobby shop that decided to cash in on the bike boom back in the 70's. Never heard of Flandria or Batavus before then, got a real appreciation for them that's stayed with me all these decades.
And never saw anything more than the $125.00 models (gaspipe, Simplex Prestige, Racer brakes, cottered cranks). They were still gorgeous, and I always keep a lookout for one in my size.
