Yes, and again about 30 minutes before you ride.
What you eat
before you ride doesn't really matter. If you're doing a long ride you might want to avoid foods that are extra spicy or have known "bad reactions" (I avoid dairy products before a long ride). If you're doing a hard ride you might want to avoid fatty foods.
What you eat
during the ride is what matters ... especially on rides over 2 hours.
