If your seatpost is CF, have a dummy aluminum one in the stand for use when working on the bike. Just no reason to clamp a bike by the top tube.

First experience with stands, I'm usually just leaning them up against the back of car while cleaning/lubing chain/FD/RD/Cassette etc. Any adjustments needed are by LBS who does for free since I purchased there. Will be taking the time to u-tube the "proper use of bike stand' shortly. Again, thanks.
