I would advocate looking at some Boyd wheels. They should hit your price point and you can write to Boyd Johnson and get a reply from the company owner if you wish for recommendations or consultation on which wheel to choose. I have some of their carbon 50 mm wheels and they are great. He even gave me a more discounted price because I wanted tubular and they don't sell that many tubulars anymore. The other recommendation for the Campy Bora wheels is also good. I have some Campy wheels and they are really excellent. Great hubs and bearings. Always stay in true. And, well, looking down there and seeing the Campy name will make you faster...
