Has anyone noticed the updated Trek website with the updated DS models shown? The new bikes have the DuoTrapS designation (maybe I am just late to the party). This allows for an accessory which feeds Cadence and speed data to your phone or bike computer. Sounds pretty cool. No Iso anything in sight.
I had to check that out myself after seeing your post. I was on Trek's website a few weeks back and did not notice the new DuoTrapS variations. (The 8.5DS doesn't seem to have one thought) Looks like slightly different frame and I couldn't tell if the DuoTrapS was included or not, but I noticed there was a new "Blender Stem" and new Wheelset on the 8.4.
