Older mountain bikes are great as hybrid conversions, and newer ones can be, too. I have my 2018 Redline Zander sort of setup as a hybrid (what self-respecting mountain bike would have a
luggage rack and a
kickstand??? <GASP!>
Anyway, I was out for a little snow biking today and the 2.1" Vittoria Mezcal tires seem made for it. They have tenacious grip on hardpack trails as well. Mud is not their strong suit...but they seem to do just about
everything else.
The weather has broken this weekend and looks even warmer next week, so we on the east coast have to make hay while the sun shines, right? My goal this year, now that I have a nice rack bag that I can take on either one of my primary bikes, is to start using our digital SLR camera more often instead of my 3 year old cell phone!
