the cold threatened but the high 30s wasn't as bad as the hype. found the Pine Barrens Trail again but wow parts of it are super rough & narrow. got in a little over an hour of riding over about 2.5 hrs away from my car. parked in lot 2 again & worked my way East & South. stayed inside the park boundaries this time & took the paved bike trail back North. it was super covered w pine needles. did pretty well again w/ map & compass but had to use the find my friends phone app to locate myself. it's great to know exactly where you are!

saw a cpl dead pheasants? quails? a hunter I spoke to at the parking lot mentioned some hunters leave the dead birds they shoot. animals had gotten to them so they were too gross to take a pic
