Speaking of deer, I saw a doe and 2 bucks last night. There’s a bike trail ( one of many, lol) by the American River, in Sacramento, where there’s a big aquatic park, for kayaks & swimming, and just as you start down the trail, there’s a fenced in area, for storage of all kinds of stuff.
I was walking my bike, and saw the doe inside the fence. I thought she was a lawn ornament, until she moved, because she was only about 4 feet tall (?). Then while we looked at each other, the 2 bucks walked around the corner, eating flowers from a tree. They were about 5 or 6 feet tall, but both had roughly a 10-point rack. They were pretty occupied with eating, so barely paid any attention to me.
Sorry, no pics, I bet that woulda spooked them. 🤔😉
