Finally a dry day - I was going somewhat stir-crazy. A good, solid 40 mile out/back to Issaquah. Lots of blowdown remnants on the trail from last night's big winds.
The honor of the first ride of the year goes to the Medici:
This small helicopter flew in, dropped somebody off at their house, and flew off while I was standing by the trail taking the photo above.
So I took a pic of it as it flew away:
When I got back to Bothell I rode by the site of the new Bothell Bridge; workers finally began putting up the railings a couple days ago. Talked to one of the workers and he told me the bridge will be opened to the public at the end of January. The railings will be done today, but a couple fixes still need to be taken care of (apparently construction errors from what the guy told me).
The new railings really look nice:
