Driving to the group run/ride stuff last night, I was sitting at a light and saw a DIY hack job e-bike. Mythbusters or Junkyard Wars would have been proud.
Dude had probably 30 lbs of batteries strapped between his legs to the top/down tubes. Had a Chinabay front wheel motor thing. He was clearly using it as a direct throttle electric motorcycle. Flying around on the sidewalks, using the cross walk. No helmet.
I'm all for alt transit, but c'mon, he was riding basically an electric motorcycle on the sidewalk.
