Did they make you walk? I know someone who was on track for a 4:45 finish, and they made her walk!!
What a crazy marathon for Chicago today.
We were ordered to walk by the police. Both police and firemen were telling us to walk it out to the finish. One cop was joking over the pa system that if he caught us running he would chase us down and arrest us. That lightened the mood out there. I am glad it is over and I will never run that race again.
I was on schedule to finish somewhere around 4:45-5:00 hours myself but I did what I was told and I walked. It hurt like hell to walk those last eight miles but I did it.
