Here's a nicely restored 1982 Gios Super Record from the Gios Registry website:

My Gios Super Record is a 1979 to 1982 model. There weren't many changes during those years. They had painted forks with coins in the fork crowns. The early ones had gold coins. Later they changed to silver coins. Gios used riveted head badges in those years.
Head tube decal. Pre 1979 and maybe post 1982.
My BB shell. No Serial number, just 56 for 56cm.
Older pre 1979 style BB shell with Gios logo.
Before 1979 and after 1982 the Super Record forks were chrome plated.
.... Just one more thing....
We sold Gios frames during the 1970's. I never saw a complete bike come from Gios.
The frames came in Styrofoam form fit boxes with a Gios pantographed stem, seatpost, large chainring, a plus Gios water bottle, hat and jersey.
