I've cycled in temps down to -40C/F ... just a 6.7 km commute.

But I've done longer distances down to about -25C.

You've just got to dress for it and plan ahead.

That said, I'm not that fond of cycling in the cold and dark, so I'll ride inside on evenings after work.
