Eureka, I found you! Hey Dynocoaster. I finally got around to replacing my Alfine-8 speed with an Alfine-11 hub. The 8-speed hub has been dipped a few times since your post here (sorry about the delay!) and it still shifts flawlessly. Shoot me a PM and I'll send it to you free. Will also throw in the shifters (I have a spare) and the cassette joints from both my Live 3 and Live 2 (built them both up with Alfine-11s for Xmas this year.)
I also have a Nexus-8 hub if anyone wants it, but it's a little haggard after sitting neglected in my father's garage, despite dipping it twice.
