Fixed now. Easier done than said, really.

- heat it up a bit w/a hairdryer, use some dental floss and swipe down the inside of the badge, clean it up.
- use some tape top & bottom to mark the vertical
- spray adhesive on, wait a couple mins to get tacky, then stick it.
- tape it down, bc it wanted to twist... the badge was warped from being wrong so long.

Bc the badge is a bit warped, I think this is as good as it gets. It's shifted 2-3mm from where it was - very noticeably off-center before, now it's maybe 0.5mm off only if you look very closely.
