My next Ti bike will be disc if the vortex ever fails. I like having disc brakes with a carbon wheel set...less wear on the wheel track and you don't have to worry about the carbon heating up too much on a long descent. Plus there isn't that much weight penalty if you go with the newest ulegra or better group set. Other than that though I think regular brakes are fine for what I do, so long as they are properly set up and you are using the proper pads for a carbon wheel set.
