GC is '87 but it's really not likely that an '87 bike had top mounted shifters. They were almost always found on 83-84 frames. Your bike looks to be in this
83 catalogue. Arx derailleurs, same crank, correct shifters?
I think maybe the date code is elsewhere on the crankset. Reading thru the thread, this was all covered already.
