Agreed. These are great. When I would go long I would fill two of these flasks with straight Gatorade and carry a insulated bike bottle full of water in my hand. I tried other bigger bottles on a belt but were both too heavy, and drove me crazy when sloshing around half full. You can drain these pretty quick if the sloshing bugs you. Also a pack of 4 extra bottles is cheap and they are curved to fit against nicely against your torso.

And to op second question I always carried a bike bottle of water on all runs. Even 5ks. It’s was kind of my metronome for keeping turnover high, and it’s like doing thousands of low weight curls per week... switched hands every mile.
