Yeah, I could have found a substitute attachment... but the focal point issue rendered it useless.
It serves a desk job these days, while I use a velcro on bar end mirror.
Bottom line... find what works for you.
I do NOT trust any adhesive on helmet mirror mounts. I use the adhesive part to position my mirror and once I know that the mount is where I need it I reinforce that mount/helmet interface with a zip-tie or two. Never had a helmet mirror mount come loose once it's reinforce with the zip-ties.
