Miles of Trees Charity Ride

The 2018 Miles of Trees

Bicycle Ride

Labor Day Weekend Aug-31 to Sep-3

Virginia Beach to NYC

4 Days / 340 Miles for a ton of trees.
ArrivalDay– Virginia Beach: Opt for a tour of our very own educational farm “New Earth Farm”, our “Commune” Restaurants, or simply relax and enjoy the Oceanfront Resort Area. We will have a formal opening event that evening.

Day1 – Virginia Beach to Chincoteague, VA (93 Miles): After a healthy breakfast we will transfer across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Bridge & Tunnel. From the other side it is flat rolling through Virginia’s Eastern Shore Region via historic Cape Chares to arrive at our destination, where the beaches are home to wild horses.

Day2 – Chincoteague to Bethany Beach, DE (69 Miles): We take the inland route to pass through Maryland before turning East, hugging the DE shore. We keep this day short to enjoy a dip in the ocean when we arrive at our destination.

Day3 – Bethany Beach to Atlantic City, NJ (83 Miles): The day starts with a 20 mile ride to the Lewes-Cape May Ferry. We cross the Delaware Bay by boat and resume to ride from Cape May to Atlantic City – it’s Boardwalk time!

Day4 – Atlantic City to NYC (96 Miles): We pedal through Bass River State Forest then follow the NJ coast all the way to our Boat transfer to Manhattan. A short ride through the City we will close out the Ride with a Welcoming Reception & Finish Line Party.

DepartureDay– NYC: The Ride may be over but your visit to NYC is just getting started?! If you’re planning on staying the week, note that September 9 hosts the annual NYC Century Ride!

WhatsIncluded?3 nights accommodation, food, drink, vehicle support, as well as a Miles of Trees cycling jersey and ferry rides. Note: Travel to/from the start/end destinations is not included, nor is accommodation there. Each participant will be entered to win a brand new bicycle!

How much does it cost? The cost for this experience is $1,000 per person. This covers everything as per the above and including the festivities on both arrival days in VB and in NYC. Profits will go towards our Tree Planting Fund.

Anything else I should know? CDi/Miles of Trees will do everything to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience. However, you will be riding at your own risk and CDi/Miles of Trees will not be liable in the event of personal injury or physical damage to equipment and property. Wearing a helmet and not wearing headphones while riding is mandatory. So is courteous and responsible riding.
