I suspect the alleged tax break from a car donation to a charitable organization is a moot point for the would-be car free posters on this list who are not likely to have either the income or enough other legitimate deductions to get any tax benefit from the donation of a junker car.
Wow, I'm surprised that didn't stir up more hostility. I thought living car free is a lifestyle choice that transcends income or education levels. There's no way I'll ever get to car free, but it is fun at least living reduced car dependent sometimes. And when I do, it's by choice.
