I would have had a KOM on the Santa Ana River Trail, which is probably the most ridden strip in the area. I was holding 32 mph eastbound which is usually has a bad headwind, so rare event + good legs. That's also the day I went down and punctured my lung so it wasn't to be...

Many KOMs around here are climate based; yea you have to be strong but the wind (which can be very strong) has to be there.
