What does that race usually cost? I know the survival camps that he puts on are hefty, but I've never priced the actual race...

Stetina did it on his Madone with tubeless 28c file treads pumped up pretty dang hard. If I did that race, I'd throw 50-34 on my gravel bike and run 28-30 file tread tubeless. There's so much road that treaded tires would cost you a ton of time.
Yeah, that's the plan for me. The CX bike is going to be pretty close to a road setup. @
TMonk did it so he should know the cost, I can't find it but I'm sure its well over $100.
