i think i might need a few days of absolutely no movement. i've currently been using crutches to get a few yards to the bathroom, and it pretty consistently causes a big flare up in the pain. way worse than after i broke it, almost tempted to call them again........ i really ****** hope they don't have to back in there again to add or remove a screw or some ****. seems like the pain has been increasing since i got home which is? maybe not normal?
You should be able to manage or "stay ahead" of the pain if they gave you strong enough meds. Staying ahead of the pain will help you heal much faster too. I learned that the hard way 25 years ago when I was trying to be a tough guy by not taking pain meds. I'd at least call the orthopedic surgeon to ask if what you are going through is normal.
